A community youth organisation in Rotorua will receive more than A half a million dollars to deliver a service aimed at empowering and re-engaging young people no longer in school. The funding is a slice of a $7.4 million Government package aimed at helping young people affected by Covid-19 and is divided among almost a dozen organisations nationwide.

Radhakrishnan’s office said this meant the total number of youth assisted by the funding was about 5500. The groups included the Graeme Dingle Foundation and the Salvation Army, as well as Rotorua’s Te Waiariki Purea Trust.
