Panel discussion with Graeme Dingle Foundation Head of Partnership

Panel discussion with Graeme Dingle Foundation Head of Partnerships Claire Baldwin, Auckland Council Manurewa-Papakura Ward Councillor Angela Dalton and Papakura High School prefect Catherine Armstrong. Armstrong claims the Graeme Dingle Foundation helped her realise her potential and it has astonished her how much her confidence has grown. Baldwin stresses that they’ve focused on enhancing the wellbeing and resilience of young people through a strong mentoring component. Dalton discusses what she’s seen in the community and how the foundation helped in resilience building. Armstrong says she’s headed to AUT next year to study paramedicine. Baldwin points out that their programmes are very tailored to each individual, and they’re aware it can help keep young people in school with increased academic achievements. Dalton says it’s been her first term as councillor but she’s been on the board for nine years. Baldwin claims they’re looking for more funding, and they’ve set up a Givealittle page.
