Schools in western Christchurch will continue to take part in the Stars, the Kiwi Can and the Project K youth mentoring and training programmes, in spite of a funding shortfall of $60,000 by the Graeme Dingle Foundation, which runs the programmes.

Canterbury region general manager Chris Davis assured schools in the district there would be no cutbacks to their programmes.
