Free falling – finally!

At long last! This writer was supposed to join the 100 plus ‘droppers’ on May 28/29 as part of the Graeme Dingle Foundation ‘Drop for Youth Marlborough’ fundraiser where locals were asked to set a target of at least $1000. All funds raised support the work of the Graeme Dingle Foundation in transforming young lives within the Marlborough region. After a five week delay due to being involved with Les maintenance for the Motueka based skydive operator, Saturday turned on a cracker! The blurb on the Abel Tasman skydive site reads; jumping from 9,000 feet, you will enjoy 20 seconds of freefall and then parachute.
