LION
At the Graeme Dingle Foundation, lasting impact for young people is made possible through partners who share our belief in early intervention, resilience and long-term change. We are proud to recognise LION as a Champion Partner whose sustained commitment is helping tamariki and rangatahi across Aotearoa build confidence, connection and positive futures.
LION is a leading New Zealand beverage company, guided by the ambition to be an unrivalled Force for Growth and for Good.
As a Certified B Corporation, LION is proud to be part of a community of companies working together for change, and taking part in collective action to advocate for a shared goal of a global economy that benefits people and the planet.
With a strong focus on creating long-term positive social impact in the communities where it operates, LION’s approach is centred on investing where impact is deepest and most enduring, with the Graeme Dingle Foundation forming a core pillar of its community investment and youth-focused strategy.

This alignment reflects a shared understanding that early, consistent support can shape lifelong outcomes. Through this partnership, LION supports evidence-based programmes that help young people develop resilience, strengthen relationships and build confidence. These experiences prepare tamariki and rangatahi to face life’s obstacles effectively and help mitigate negative risk factors they may experience now, or in the future, supporting healthier pathways over time.
Today, LION’s financial investment supports the Foundation’s full suite of programmes across Auckland, reaching more than 5,000 young people each year, alongside dedicated funding for research and evaluation. This combined support strengthens programme quality, accountability and learning, ensuring the Foundation’s work remains credible, effective and focused on long-term outcomes for young people.

LION’s commitment extends beyond funding through active staff engagement, volunteering and skill sharing. They also support our events through the provision of beverages, reflecting a culture of leadership and a genuine commitment to supporting the communities in which their people live and work.
In addition, LION plays a key role in supporting connection and community through its annual in-kind product support for a wide range of Foundation events. From high-profile gatherings to much-loved community fundraisers, this ongoing contribution helps bring people together around a shared purpose while enabling vital fundraising and engagement opportunities.
Leadership in action is a defining feature of the partnership. Each year, LION commits to having staff participate in Drop Your Boss, with employees consistently stepping forward to raise significant funds and awareness for young people. This annual commitment reflects LION’s values in practice, empowering its people to lead boldly while supporting tamariki and rangatahi to overcome obstacles and realise potential.

What truly sets this partnership apart is its longevity. Since 2009, LION has remained a steadfast supporter of the Graeme Dingle Foundation, evolving alongside the organisation while maintaining a clear focus on impact, integrity and shared purpose. Champion Partners like LION provide the stability that allows us to plan for the long term, invest in quality delivery and continue supporting young people year after year.
Together, we are helping to create communities where young people feel supported, connected and equipped to shape their own futures. We are deeply grateful for LION’s leadership, partnership and belief in making Aotearoa the best place in the world to be young.
